You’ve seen behind the scenes (If you haven’t, click here!), so it’s show time! Blue Man Group is truly an experience, and its pretty impossible to not be involved in the show. From marshmallows, to Captain Crunch, to the Drumbone, the Blue Men do not look at anything in an ordinary way, and pull the entire audience along for the ride without a single word. And in that spirit, I’ll let the show images speak for themselves…
After the show, I was given some time with the Blue Men from that evenings performance, and got them into the Charles Playhouse Lounge a studio setting. Working with these guys is very similar to working with kids. You never know what they’re going to do next!
I am pretty sure that the Blue Men enjoyed messing with me. When I explained to the three of them that this is the general area I will need them to be in, and that the more they stay in the light the better, they took me quite literally, and got in the light!
Nothing beats a nice family portrait.
When I mentioned that the Blue Men were curious, I wasn’t kidding! There was a little bit of confusion as to why my lens was not blue enough, so that was quickly remedied for me.
This visit was no exception as to how welcoming everyone on the crew was. Thanks to my assistant and friend, Nick, for snapping this few series while I spent a few very strange minutes on the other side of the lens!
Blue Man Group is truly an experience for all the senses, so don’t go away, the Blue Men are on the move here!

Amazing Job!!!!! Can’t wait to see the video!!
The pictures make you feel like you are actually at the show… so colorful and AMAZING!
Awesome photos! The paint looks so thick! So happy they still have the Captain Crunch skit.
That part of the show is new and improved too!
Where can I find a Drumbone? – Great pictures of the show!
I had forgotten how much FUN the show is….makes me want to go back and see it again! GREAT JOB!
Amazing – crazy Q, how long does it take them to blue up for the show?
Great question, Deb! The actual makeup process isn’t very long (actually way faster than I thought it would be!), but the process of getting into character takes a little bit longer, depending on the actor.
These pictures are great! You have made me a Blue Man believer!!!! Can’t wait to see the show.
This is soooo cool! I love the pics of you with them, the intense eyes and all! I have yet to see a show, but now I can’t wait
